Cheri Whiting
Spanish tutoring for all ages
Cheri (pronounced like “Sherry”) is an experienced Spanish educator with a passion for helping students build confidence through personalized instruction. She holds degrees in Spanish and Creative Writing and became fluent while studying abroad at universities in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She later moved to Argentina to teach Third Grade at an international school.
Over the years, Cheri has taught and tutored students of all ages, led Spanish immersion trips to Guatemala and El Salvador, and most recently taught Intro to Spanish for students at a local co-op. Whether working with beginners or more advanced learners, she strives to make Spanish engaging, approachable, and practical for every student.
Her free time is filled with her three small children and two large dogs. As a family, they like to explore the beautiful nature their home state of Maine has to offer. You can find Cheri going for a swim in the ocean every month of the year, and she will absolutely ask you to join her!
